I grew up in Chicago. Was born and raised there. Was baptized Catholic, went to Catholic school, but couldn’t reconcile what I was taught vs. the contradictions that I experienced in life. My faith was hijacked by a bible-based cult when I was only 16. I thought I knew better than what I was taught as a child. I thought I found God, but am now realizing that I was searching for the truth but for all the wrong reasons. Through decades of living in religious pride and error, I find myself reconnecting with my original faith. Can you relate?
